Design Philosophy

Stylesse is a combination of the best things in life: style + finesse. Stylesse is the ultimate fusion of refinement, skill, and artisanship meeting the fashion of elegant movement and the individual expression of self.

Beginning as a vision of fashion liberation and neo-couture creativity, Stylesse is daring to lead a revolution in the fashion industry. Cutting-edge styles and artistic expressions are of the essence to the designer, who believes in pushing the envelope and tossing out the idea that fashion must be standardized.

Vibrant colors, rare patterns, fabulous prints...they’re all here. Most importantly, the Stylesse phenomenon challenges women to wear their personality on the outside. Whether you’re funky or fresh, there is something here for you. Stylesse welcomes you to a haven rich with style and finesse.

Ms. Stylesse

A jewelry designer and entrepreneur in high school, a medical researcher from high school to post-college, a media and marketing professional following grad school, and forever an artist, designer, businesswoman, and self-titled “creative genius” – Ms. Stylesse has just about done it all!

All with style and finesse.

Ms. Stylesse has loved fashion as long as she can remember. As a teenager, she pored over the pages of Vogue to derive fashion inspiration and showed creative ability and artistic talents early. After enrolling in a sewing class in high school, she made her first bag, drawing admiration from classmates and friends. She also began making beaded jewelry at the age of 16, first selling it to family and friends and later joining a local youth entrepreneur program to expand her business. She closed the business after graduating from high school to focus on her pre-med education. Just before completing her undergrad degree in Natural Science at the University of Pittsburgh, she founded another venture, Couture de Fleur, a collection of unique pressed flower portraits and stationery.

Four years and four published scientific articles later, Ms. Stylesse chose to take her career in a new direction. After completing a post-baccalaureate business program at the Wharton School, she decided to trade in her lab coat for a briefcase, realizing her true passion laid in business. Ms. Stylesse then pursued (and completed) an MBA in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Media Management (both at Syracuse University). During this time, her love of fashion was rekindled when she began making handbags for herself, and then for fellow classmates.

“I was complimented often on the bags that I carried, and friends and strangers couldn’t believe that I made them myself! I knew it was something I had to pursue.”
After graduation, Ms. Stylesse put her business skills to work in the media industry. While holding various marketing, public relations, and promotions positions for well-known cable networks and media companies, Ms. Stylesse carefully developed her business in her spare time. She sourced fabrics, handmade samples herself, oversaw creation of the website, developed and implemented marketing and promotional ideas, and started selling her bags.

“I’m a one-woman machine!”

When she’s not designing, marketing, selling, fulfilling orders, or talking to customers, Ms. Stylesse loves to spend time hanging out with her boyfriend, family and friends, writing for an online column and blogging about handbags, designing for Couture de Fleur, and getting her cardio workout while shopping in New York City where she resides.
